Some horses graze in a field below as the Indiana Eastern Railroad's freshly repainted ex-NS/Southern GP38-2 5255 cruises across the trestle at Okeana. The 5255 is making its maiden run to switch a chemical plant in Fernald, Ohio, in its newly completed, Illinois Terminal-inspired green and yellow paint. The engine has operated partially painted for a few weeks, but this was its first run after the paint job was officially completed. The co-owners of the IERR are both fans of the Illinois Terminal, and the influence clearly shows.
