With a two month tour of the southwest wrapping up and after spending the night at Utah Junction near Pecos Street, Union Pacific’s Big Boy 4014 treads eastward on the Belt Line at Washington Street in Denver, Colorado, on November 26, 2019. To reach the Greeley Subdivision and a northbound trip home to Cheyenne, this backwards move of over 4 miles is being done while most of the Denver area receives over a foot of snow in this pre-Thanksgiving blizzard. Who would ever guess that a UP Big Boy would ever travel over former Rio Grande track, let alone using Belt Line trackage too!
