Numerous pieces of equipment sit at the TVRM's Grand Junction Station near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Closest to us is TVRM 5288, a 4-6-2 built in 1918 by Montreal Locomotive Works. It served on the CN as #516 and later #5288. It was on display at Steamtown but was sold to TVRM after being vandalized. Beside it is Hartford and Slocomb #913 built in 2/1950 as 1 of 10 RS-1's for the Atlanta and St. Andrews Bay. It was sold to the Hartford and Slocomb (a shortline near Dothan, Alabama) before ending up at TVRM. Further back is Southern Railway #3170 built in 4/1971 as an EMD SD40 for SOU. It later served NS before being sold to TVRM. In the far back, as one of TVRM's newest pieces of equipment is former USAX #7100 built as an ALCO S-2 in 9/1943. It served in the "secret city" (Oak Ridge, Tennessee) which played a major role in the development of atomic bombs, before being decommissioned and sold to the TVRM.
