Remarks & Notes
Grand Canyon Special. Grand Canyon Railway Consolidation #29 is making track speed with a 5-car special train as she rounds the bend 2 miles south of Willaha Siding, on the northbound run to "The Village." With her 1,472 Service Day Inspection coming due, this would be her last trip to the "Big Ditch" for a while, and she did it in fine style, hauling a string of green Harriman Commuter Cars with some 50 photographers on board to record the event. Just ahead, she'll make a short stop at Willaha Siding for water and servicing, and then make her final dash to the village at 40 mph.
