Interestingly, this wide-vision caboose is a former Great Northern car, but it is nicely painted in Chicago, Burlington & Quincy’s red stripe over silver scheme. The caboose sits just outside the Aurora Transportation Center and alongside the Metra platform at Aurora, Illinois, as seen on November 8, 2019. The ATC is right behind the caboose, and is an old shop building that survives (along with one of the roundhouses) from the expansive CB&Q shop facilities that once existed at this location.
