The last snow fall of the season has hit the Palmer Divide on the 8th day of May, 2019. The following day, the snow has quickly started to melt, but not before some trains were able to pass through. Here, a slow moving coal load grinds the 1.5% grade of Greenland as it inches closer to topping over the 7,200' high summit at Palmer Lake.
