A screeching echo bounces off the canyon walls as Union Pacific 1983 drags a 111-car manifest over the Sacramento River. Just south of Sims, deep in the mountains of Northern California, you can find some old school rail trestles that date back to the early 1900s. The weathered steel certainly tells a story.
