Remarks & Notes
The 13:00 crew out of Sioux City is currently northbound with local freight and empty rock cars totaling 133 cars. The crew is working up to Chatsworth where they will park this train for the night and jump on the loaded rock train parked at Chatsworth and head back to Sioux City. The D&I does this 5 days a week back in October. Heavy flooding around this area all summer created some of the worse mosquito population I have seen in awhile. We were not prepared in October for the onslaught of mosquito here, so I ended up putting on a hooded sweatshirt and tried to only have my eye ball visible from the outside. It sounded like a mosquito world war outside while I waited for this shot. The people in the area were so looking forward to the snow forecasted in a couple days.
