| Originally constructed in 1898, with new spans added in 1929, the Sacramento River Bridge at Tehama has long been an important link for trains coming to and from Northern California. The bridge spans over 600' and is the only railroad crossing of the Sacramento River between Redding and Sacramento. In this shot, Union Pacific 1983 is on the point of a 111-car manifest as it approaches the Sacramento River Bridge. |
