| The Schenectady Amtrak Station displays gold lighting for New Years Eve 2019. The 2018 station is styled after the classic original 1908 New York Central station that stood on this exact spot. That station was torn down in 1971 when service was moved to nearby Colonie. In 1978 a new 1970's style standard Amtrak style station opened in this spot when service returned to downtown Schenectady. |
