Remarks & Notes
At the end of its 2206-mile journey from Chicago, Amtrak's westbound Empire Builder arrives at Seattle's King Street Station behind an unusual combination of three nearly new F40s and two E-units. One of the Es would have provided steam for water heating in this pre-Heritage Fleet consist.
