What used to be the hump yard at UP's now-shuttered Neff Yard in Kansas City, MO is now packed to the gills with units that are now considered to be surplus. Shutting down humps and storing locomotives are two of the key tenets of Precision Scheduled Railroading, which has swept the industry.
