| Power for Genesee & Wyoming's Heart of Georgia Railroad is at Americus, Georgia on January 1, 2020 awaiting the year ahead which may be seeing the absence of this vintage first generation Geep. GP9 1713 is one of four remaining high hood units in operation within GWI's U.S. network. Amazingly this former Detroit & Toledo Shore Line unit, originally built as a GP7 in April of 1952 still retains the overall majority of it's cosmetic features including the full fish belly side sill. |
