CT rail train 1616 heads east (railroad north) on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor in Branford, Connecticut, on a cold January 23, 2019. This “Shore Line East” commuter train, heading from New Haven to New London, consists of cab car 1713, coaches 1732 and 1754, with Dash 8-40BWH 833 on the rear. The heritage of the General Electric locomotive is pretty obvious (ex-AMTK 833) and the Mafersa cars were acquired from Virginia Railway Express.
