Shuffle your feet, lose your seat. Before Norfolk Southern Railroad sold their set of F units that had been dedicated to power most Office Car Specials, they were renumbered from 4270-4271 and 4275-4276 to 270-271 and 275-276 to make room on the roster for other locomotives. On Saturday, February 15, 2020, an expected routing cause me to cross paths with both units. EMD F7B 275 is now property of the Reading and Northern Railroad, and has been repainted into a Lehigh and New England tribute scheme. It is on display at Outer Station in reading, PA.
