| On a cloudy cold Sunday, a gaggle of railfans gathers at the crossing of the famed E.C.Crosby former hardware store as a 16R detour train heads north to Rutland. The partial collapse of the Hoosac Tunnel on February 12th set in motion a new operational procedure of Pan Am traffic through Vermont with interchange at the VTR Riverside Yard in Bellows Falls and the Pan Am/NS Hoosick Junction. Latest reports put the repairs to the tunnel anywhere between 60 to 90 days due to extensive sink hole and water/ flooding issues. |
