Built in June of 1980, WAMX EMD GP50 is still on the rails handling some yard tasks in Tuscaloosa, AL for the Alabama Southern Railway (ABS). The unit was originally built for the C&NW as their 5072, as evident by the gong bell in the nose. Unfortunately the gong bell isn't operational, but does point out the units' true heritage!
