Remarks & Notes
Cumbres & Toltec Rotary snowplow OY clears the narrow gauge right-of-way eastbound upgrade toward Cumbres Pass just above Dalton, New Mexico, on February 29, 2020. Engineer Max Casias, located in the window above the “Rotary OY” lettering, concentrates on the task at hand as the machine removes snow. Because of limited visibility, he gets some of his information on how much throttle is needed on the plow by a pilot up front on the right side of the rotary, who happens to be his father, Marvin Casias.
