RARE MILEAGE!
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the founding of the Grand Elk Railroad, Watco ran a series of trips over the Grand Elk Railroad using one of the WSOR's cars and a privately owned Northern Pacific dome car. The trips were made available to railroad executives, customers and family members of railroad.
We see Canadian Built wide-cab GP40 #4009 leading the two car special south on the northern half of the railroad, which is ex. PRR and GR&I in origin. The last time this railroad saw any regular passenger service was in the early 1960's and since then has seen virtually nothing close to any regular passenger service of any kind since.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
