COVID-19 Pandemic Reduced Schedule - The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 has forced Amtrak to cancel a number of trains, effective on March 24, 2020, as evidenced by the Pacific Surfliner schedule in the Amtrak ticket office in the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center. Weekday trains have dropped 53.9% - from 13 trains per weekday to just 6. Despite what this schedule indicates, the official schedule shows no Surfliners operating between Goleta and San Luis Obispo, as buses are filling in instead.
