Remarks & Notes
Under cold, stormy skies, Amtrak's Southwest Chief races past the semaphore signal located at mile post 849.1 near the town of Los Cerrillos, New Mexico. Five semaphore signals are located west of Lamy along the trackage now owned by the State of New Mexico. These signals are unique as they stand as a single mast.

The Southwest Chief is an under-appreciated train. The New Mexico scenery is like none other in the entire system.

Signals with character, many falling into history.
