| Conrail ME-2 returns to Metuchen Yard, passing between two parking lots in Raritan Center. The crew has just completed work at Lanxess in Woodbridge and is returning with two empties bracketed by covered hoppers which it appears were being used as buffer cars. And of course "the" caboose was also along for the ride. It was announced in March 2020 that the Raritan Central Railway will soon begin serving all customers in this area that Conrail had previously retained. |
