Remarks & Notes
In the winter of 1978 the MBTA was perennially short of power for its commuter trains and sometimes borrowed Amtrak RS3s to help out. Amtrak 100 teamed up with an MBTA GP9 on this Needham Branch train swinging onto the mainline at Forest Hills station in Boston an its way to South Station.
