Railroad history that would soon be lost. A Chessie caboose and a few loaded hopper cars populate the small yard at Thurmond, WV. Adding to the scene are the Engine House and various other steam era fixtures that could take you back in time. The Engine House, built in 1905, would be destroyed in a suspicious fire in 1993 before the National Park Service could preserve it.
