Remarks: After hiking through a small field on an unusually warm November afternoon...A couple of friends and I stand on the outskirts of GI: A locomotive storage facility just a few miles from the Galesburg terminal. It seems every railway now is beginning to throw in the towel on the GE dash 8's, and the same can be said for BNSF in this photo. This photo says a lot considering it was taken in November of 2019...My more recent visits, while passing by on the nearby route 34, have showed a diminish in the number of B40-8's that remain in the deadline. The rough estimate in this photo, per a BNSF worker, was close to 38 B40-8's. This is a lot considering more recent reports are saying that less than 10 remain in the deadline.
