Remarks & Notes
As soon as a southbound Burlington Northern coal train stopped on the single track at Palmer Lake, Colorado, the helpers uncoupled from the train and quickly backed the caboose onto the southbound main past the passing siding switch. With the heavy traffic on the joint line, there was no time to waste while a train was stopped.
