Remarks & Notes
Constructed by James Clifford & Sons of Lenox and completed in July 1903, the Lenox Station of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad served passengers until the cessation of regular passenger service in 1958. The Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum relates that the "Lenox Station was used as a repair shop, a carpentry shop, and a warehouse for construction materials. In 1986, the building was donated to the museum by George Taylor and Joseph Consolini of Restorations, Inc." Subsequently, it would become the home of the museum's offices and gift shop in addition to housing railroad artifacts. The adjoining rail yard is home to Webb Rail LLC - WEBX's former NY, NH &H RR FL-9 2024 (2058), and the track is still active with the freight trains of the Houstanoic Railroad. It is seen on the afternoon of August 16, 2019.
