Two icons of the Gotthard line: The famous TRANS EUROP EXPRESS RAe TEE II # 1053 of SBB Historic, which ran as TEE Gottardo and Ticino between Zürich and Milan over the Gotthard line from 1961 to 1988, is crossing the middle Meienreuss bridge in Wassen. The famous church of Wassen, which can be seen three times when travelling through the loops, was wrapped for some days with red cloths, as an eyecatcher for the celebration of 125 years Gotthard line.
