The new reality. The fire of May 8, 1974 caused substantial damage to the Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge, and ending the cross Hudson River traffic of the Maybrook Line. On the warm autumn evening of September 25, 2019, the view of the bridge shows the present condition of the bridge, and the extensive repairs and renovation that were performed in order to make it into the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
