| The DF class were built by EMD Canada and entered service in 1979 and were rebuilt with turbo in 1990s and more recently BrightStar and other upgrades costing over $1M per locomotive. This manifest train is running from Whangarei to Auckland with freight mostly from the dairy factory at Kauri, now the northern extent of the railroad network in NZ. |
