Grinding up the 2.2% grade of Mullan Pass west of Helena, Montana, is a westbound BNSF coal train at Skyline on June 30, 2019. Head end power led by GE ET44C4 No. 3890 is crossing Austin Creek Trestle, while a four pack of Montana Rail Link EMD SD70ACes are entrained in the long string of coal gons and can barely be seen in the far curve by Skyline siding. Not visible, a lone BNSF DPU unit shoves on the rear in the horseshoe curve up Greenhorn Gulch.
