| On a cool and stormy March afternoon, the RailRunner Express races through the canyon lands north of Rosario, New Mexico. This particular section of trackage was built in the 1970s, after the creation of the Galisteo Dam (reroute from the original AT&SF mainline). Amtrak's Southwest Chief and the Railrunner Express use this route as they shuttle passengers through the scenic mountains of the desert southwest. |
