The iconic "Crocodile" Ce 6/8 II # 14253 was built in 1919 by SLM and MFO for the SBB, mainly for freight trains on the newly electrified Gotthard line. The 2688 kW locomotive with a maximum velocity of 75 km/h is historic vehicle of SBB Historic in Erstfeld. Last year, the locomotive got new paint in the industrial works of Bellinzona, together with care and polishing by the crew of Erstfeld and looks like new. This day, there were the first "fitness runs" after the Corona shut-down. Every first saturday of each month, the operational vehicles of SBB Historic Erstfeld are moving through the station, open for the public, to avoid standstill damages and to keep experience for the engineers.
