A northbound Amtrak Empire Service train, led by an EMD FL9, speeds along the Hudson River and meets a southbound Metro-North commuter train, pushed by a pair of FL9s, at the very moment both trains pass through a tunnel just south of Bear Mountain Bridge near Manitou, New York, on the afternoon of April 14, 1991.
