Following right behind the MRVSP which is nearing its destination at Sparks, NV, UP 7195 leads an empty ethanol unit train east on the east slope of Donner Pass. This train has lost over 2,000 feet of elevation since cresting the summit of Donner Pass 40 miles prior, and it's making its 4th crossing of the Truckee River since leaving that river's namesake town. This train is running from East Oakland, CA, to Lakota, IA.
