| An ex-Southern high hood SD40-2 is on its way to Portsmouth, Ohio, as it crosses the old C&O mainline at the apex of an 8-mile long 0.3 percent westbound grade. N&W Class A 2-6-6-4s could lug 14,500 tons here after being fitted with auxiliary tanks which eliminated a water stop at Prichard. |
