Austin Loops Westbound BNSF "Tape Worm" grain load climbs the 2.2% grade at Austin. MT. All eight locomotives on this 115 car train can be seen in this photo taken from Iron Ridge. This gorgeous day was a rare dry closed low pressure system, these rare weather events that happen a couple times a summer, make for clear Fall like skies. This is a great chance to thank my friend Mike Danneman for helping me find the exact spot where he shot a fantastic photo of a Cascade Green Grainer in the 1990's.
