Since july 2018, the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB) built a large shed in Realp, in order to be able to park the valuable, beautifully refurbished passenger cars in a protected area, especially during the winter months. Up to now they have been parked in various places, but not covered, during the winter and due to humidity, frost and snow the cars with wooden carbodies aged relatively quickly. The 4 track building was erected in concrete, because it is in a avalanche zone. Now the building has a wooden facade and the roof will be covered with grass soon. The cowheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 9 gets the red cars for the train 133 to Oberwald out of the new building. The costs of the new car stable hall of 2.9 Mio swiss francs were covered by donations.
