Bringing up the markers on an eastbound Southern Pacific hauler, heading from Los Angeles' Taylor Yard to West Colton Yard, is C-40-1 caboose 1020. This caboose was built at the SP's Los Angeles General Shops in 1937, forty-one years before it was photographed passes through Pomona, California, on July 29, 1978.
