A Scene From "Old California." A far cry from plying the rails of its first owner, the Pennsylvania Railroad (ex-PRR 2262), this GP35 still earns its keep now on the Fillmore & Western Railway. This morning was no different for the veteran 56-year-old unit, now wearing No. 3501, as it served on the point of an inbound tank car train that was interchange to the shortline's motive power in Santa Paula. With their air test and inspection complete, the train is seen on the move slicing through one of the many orchards it will pass on its way to Fillmore.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
