On a beautiful summer evening with a setting sun, the NS 5664 leads a local across the famed Rockville Bridge. The 5664 was built in 1969 for Penn Central and on this evening has NS 6321 trailing which was built for conrail.
The reason railpictures.net has captured my imagination for so many years. Images of quality and distinction, in other words, amazing railroad photography.
Pictures taken with the strong contrast between Rail and Light in Dawn/Dusk/Sunrise or Sunset.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
