Remarks & Notes

An eastbound Union Pacific coal train curves out of Pinecliffe, Colorado, on September 4, 2000. The train is arcing through one of the sharpest curves on the Moffat Tunnel Subdivision, at what I believe is 12°, and lead motor EMD SD9043MAC No. 8273 is passing the site that was once Tunnel 28, daylighted in 1951.
