Eastbound coal rumbles through Alburtis, Pennsylvania, on Conrail’s former Reading East Penn line. The track in the foreground is the C&F (Catasauqua & Fogelsville branch. The branch, which once went to Biery Yard in Catasauqua, was cut back to Seiple in 1981. Today, ir is the NS C&F secondary, and serves a large number of industries and warehouses in Trexlertown, Fogelsville, and Chapmans.
