The "Ranch 2" fire was burning in the Angeles National Forest above Azusa, with the fire destroying 2,500 acres with just 3% containment as of Saturday morning. By afternoon, the fire had created a massive pyrocumulus cloud reaching 25,000- to 30,000-feet into the atmosphere. Meanwhile, thirty-five miles to the south, the last Metrolink train of the day on the carrier’s Orange County Line, number 667 (with F125 914 shoving), makes its way from Oceanside to Los Angeles.
