It appears that the Denver Rock Island Railroad has a new pony for their Denver-based stable. SDCX 88 was built in 1959 for the Southern Pacific as a GP9. It was later rebuilt as a GP9R for the SP and later worked for the Mount Hood Railroad in Oregon before being flagged to SDCX (Sandton Rail Leasing).
