Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Alco S2 no.24 tends to switching chores at Jackson, Mississippi on May 15, 1973. This unit began life on the Alton Railroad in 1945 and would have a thirty-plus year career before being retired by the Illinois Central Gulf in the middle 1970's.
