| An empty coal train bound for Arco, CO, (West Elk Mine), tippy-toes along Byers Canyon west of Hot Sulphur Springs. This 8 mile canyon along the Colorado River slow trains down to 20 mph as they snake along some tight confines. I was happy to get a train here in some what sunlight as other attempts have been less than stellar. The crew will tied the train down at Bond and cab back as there was no outbound crew to take the train to Grand Jct. |
