A rare early Winter Storm ravaged the front range for 2 days between September 7 and 9. The Lafayette, CO local affectionately called the “Buck Wheat“, is moving northerly towards Lafayette on the Lafayette branch with ex-Cascade Green Burlington Northern GP39-2 in between 2 layers of heavy low ceiling moisture laden cold clouds. The Flatirons in the distance grandstanding above the plains still gripped in heavy snow flock glow in the filtered light. A rare opportunity to shoot some dramatic light against some very classic power on a rare weathered day.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
