Remarks & Notes
The hydraulic wings of a spreader work great to push snow far back from the track. With the blades on the nose adjusted to push snow all to one side, Southern Pacific spreader MW 4034 cleans wet snow off Main 2 on double track at Soda Springs, California, on March 10, 2000. Powering the train are SP EMD GP38-2 Nos. 4841 and 4812.
