Remarks & Notes
A probably worldwide unique situation, two railroad vehicles on a turntable, not one behind the other, but shifted by 90 degrees. The turntable of the Rigibahnen in Vitznau has both a straight track section and a slightly curved track, offset by about 90 degrees, in order to manoeuvre the vehicles from the depot tracks onto the station tracks. Due to the limited space available, some of the tracks of the depot run in a curve towards the turntable, and this curve is continued on the turntable. On the left is the little battery shunter (in Switzerland called tractor) Ta 2/2 # 1, built 1982 by Stadler. On the right cogwheel railcar BDhe 4/4 # 5, built in 1964 by SLM, SIG and BBC, with the blazon of canton Luzern and a Ae 6/6 similar muzzle. The situation was not arranged, but arose by chance.
